The Finnish company launched Nokia 2.1 which became the Android Go device. In addition, there are Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5.1 and are lined up to be their Android One smartphones. Here are the following specifications of the three new Nokia smartphones:
Nokia 2.1
The Nokia 2.1 comes in a 5.5 inch HD 720p resolution screen, it is followed by a Snapdragon 425 chipset combined with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal memory. When the storage isn’t enough, there is a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB. Moving to the camera, the Nokia 2.1 has an 8MP camera on the back. While for the selfie loa vers, 5MP camera is available. It has a battery capacity of 4000mAh which is claimed to keep the handset active for up to 2 days. Other features are WiFi, GPS, 3.5 mm audio jack, and USB type-C. Nokia 2.1 runs Android Oreo Go edition to allow the apps use less storage compared to the normal Android OS. But it is not certain if this smartphone will receive an update to Android P. Came in three colour options — blue/copper blue/silver, and gray/silver, Nokia 2.1 will go on sale starting July at a price of US $115 or approximately N42,000 in Nigeria.
Nokia 3.1
The Nokia 3.1 comes with a 5.2 inches screen with a thin bezel and 18:9 aspect ratio. Screen resolution is HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) and protected by Gorilla Glass. The successor of Nokia 3 is powered by MediaTek MT6750N octa-core 1.5GHz chipset. There are two choices of RAM — 2GB and 3GB. Similarly, the internal storage space should also be coming in twos — 16GB and 32GB variants. The Nokia 3.1 is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and an angle of 84.6 degrees. For connectivity, there are Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band WiFi and 4G LTE. Also equipped with 2990mAh battery, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB type-C. Nokia 3.1 is an Android One device that will get a monthly security update for three years. It will be available in three different colour options — blue/copper, black/chrome, and white/iron. Nokia 3.1 will be sold starting June and the official prices are:
2GB / ROM 16GB RAM variant: $160 or approx. N58,000 in Nigeria. 3GB / ROM 32GB RAM variant: $195 or approx. N72,000 in Nigeria.
Nokia 5.1
Nokia 5.1 comes with a 5.5-inch screen with Full HD+ 2160 x 1080 pixel resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It’s powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core processor that is housed on MediaTek Helio P18 chipset. Like Nokia 3.1, HMD Global offers a choice of two 2GB and 3GB RAM variant, as well as 16GB and 32GB ROM variants. Nokia 5.1 is also an Android One device so it will get a monthly security update for three years. The successor of Nokia 5 has been equipped with a 16MP rear camera with PDAF and 8MP front camera resolution. This handset has a fingerprint sensor on the back of the body. For the battery capacity of 3000mAh and available USB-type USB port. Will be available in three colour options, they are — copper, tempered blue and black. Nokia 5.1 will be sold starting June and the official prices are:
