David Weston, vice president of enterprise and operating system security at Microsoft, mentioned that in future versions of Windows 11, you will see important security updates that provide more protection from the chip to the cloud by combining modern hardware and software. Specifically, the Defender SmartScreen feature in Windows 11 will be upgraded to enhance protection against phishing attacks, and users will be prompted when they enter some credentials into websites that are infected or hacked by malicious apps, making Windows 11 the world’s first built-in Anti-phishing operating system. According to Microsoft data, this technology has prevented a large number of phishing attacks in the past year, including 25.6 billion Azure Active Directory brute force authentication attacks, and helped users block 35.7 billion phishing emails before they log in to their email accounts.
