Samsung Galaxy S10
The Galaxy S-series celebrates its 10th anniversary with the launch of the Galaxy S10, which is why a huge stream of information is circulating on the Galaxy S10. There are rumours spread throughout the device for months, but the amount of leaked images, specifications and photos of covers is now almost impossible to keep, even though the phone is not announced until the end of February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. In contrast to the rush of leaked images of the Pixel 3, the Galaxy S10 notices that the leaked images often show a different design. With the Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 XL, each photo – usually from Russia – showed the same design. We go through the recent leaks of the Galaxy S10.
Leaked images
Recently, the image above of the Galaxy S10 leaked from a manufacturer of a cover. We see at the top right a camera notch for a double selfie camera as we saw earlier in the midrange Galaxy A8s. Only in the case of the S10 is an oval camera notch, because this is a double camera. There is also a large horizontal cut-out on the back of the phone for the camera set-up and the flash of the device. The case also shows a place for the headphone input.
A new rumour largely confirms the above-leaked image. This time it is again a manufacturer of covers, called Olixar. The company makes images of its covers months before the appearance of the product. The new image shows three variants of the Galaxy S10, the S10 Lite, S10 and S10 Plus. They would have the same horizontal cut-out for the cameras at the back, but at the front, the S10 Plus has a double selfie camera and oval camera notch as seen in the previously leaked image. The S10 Lite and the S10 do get a round camera notch. There would be a fourth variant, namely the 5G version of the S10 Plus.
There is also a third leak, this time from the well-known rumour spreader Evan Blass. The man also shows the design of the Galaxy S10, but this time we see a very different placement of the selfie cameras. The S10 Lite and S10 get a selfie camera in the middle. The Plus variant also has a double camera at the front, but the camera notch is not oval, but precisely around the two cameras. An oval notch seems more credible from a software perspective.
Samsung Galaxy S10 prices and availability
The Samsung Galaxy S10 is most likely presented at the end of February during the Mobile World Congress. The device comes in four models and these should be available in shops from March 8, 2019. The cheaper S10 Lite will cost 735 euros (approx. N302,000 naira) according to the rumours. It has 128 GB of storage. The ordinary Galaxy S10 would then be available for 890 euros (approx. N366,000 naira) for 128 GB or 1112 euros (approx. N457,000 naira) for 512 GB. If we take the Plus variant with you, you pay 1000 euros (approx. N412,000 naira) for 128 GB, 1225 euros (approx. N504,000 naira) for 512 GB or 1558 euros (approx. N641,000 naira) for 1 TB. However, no price has yet been spilled on the 5G variant of the Galaxy S10 Plus. It is also not yet certain whether all models and variants of storage will be available for sale.
