The South Korean technology manufacturer said it was showing off a smart TV with a sleek design and only 15mm bezel. “As our lives continue to evolve, TV screens are also developing to provide consumers access to their favourite content and real-time information, whenever and wherever they want it,” explained Jong-hee Han, President of Samsung Electronics Visual Displays, in a press release. “As part of Screens Everywhere’s vision, we are delighted to be able to bring a clearer and connected home viewing experience by combining the features of active AI and 8K technology on our screens,” he added.
Samsung QLED 8K TV Features
This latest Samsung device features several enhancements, including changing full HD or 4K content to 8K content.
As for the ‘brain’, the 8K 2020 QLED TV is supported by a new AI quantum processor, which uses artificial intelligence technology that is capable of automatically increasing content to 8K quality. To offer 8K streaming quality, Samsung also applies AI ScaleNet technology to reduce the possibility of data loss, while allowing 8K content to be streamed on networks with lower bandwidth capabilities.
QLED 8K also has premium sound features – Q-Symphony, Object Tracking Sound + (OTS +), and Active Voice Amplifier. These features maximize immersive sound by producing dynamic and dimensional audio, according to the viewing experience using the big screen. In addition to bringing the latest smart TV products, Samsung also launched its newest MicroLED and Lifestyle TV line, The Sero, at the CES 2020 event. Samsung introduces MicroLED modular screens that are ready to use at home, which combine the latest generation of display technology with capabilities that can be tailored to the needs of users. Present in screen sizes 75, 88, 93, and 110 inches, MicroLED models are claimed to be very suitable for various types of homes and lifestyles.
