Known as the manufacturer of BlackBerry and Alcatel, TCL is reportedly working on five mobile devices that use flexible screens. CNET reported that the five devices are consisting of two tablets, two smartphones, and a smartphone that can be folded into a smartwatch.
The latter device is reportedly going to use a high and thin body design that can be folded around the wrist, based on leaked images seen on the CNET page. If it’s really going to be marketed, this TCL device will be different from the folding screen smartphone offered by Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, and other vendors. The producers are reportedly working on a touch screen smartphone that can be folded, but not a watch. While the planned tablet TCL can be folded in like a shell, it can also be folded out so that the screen is in front. The two smartphones offered also use a similar design, folded in and out, only the folds follow a horizontal line like an old generation flip cellphone. Unfortunately, it is still unclear when TCL will officially launch these devices to the market. This information is also considered to be ‘premature’, so it is possible for TCL to change their plans. While we wait, what do you think about wrapping a folding smartphone on your wrist?
