Vkworld Mix Plus Design
The Vkworld Mix Plus 4G Phablet has a display with nearly 90% Bezel Less. Vkworld has a premium metal frame and glass (Gorilla Glass) front and rear. The back has a mirror-shine finish, which the company claims pretty girls can use when applying their make-up. We would make a joke out of that, but they totally could.
The 5.5 inch HD screen has been layered on the front panel. The display extends to all the sides, I mean to the extreme edges. The screen to body ratio of the display is 90% which is extremely high. The glass on top of the screen is a 2.5D arc design. Colours are good, brightness and saturation as well. This device feels quite light and bulky if you have tiny fingers, unlike my slim long fingers, handling this device is not a biggy!
I am surprised to find the earphone and USB port on the topside of the phone. Vkworld Mix Plus dual speakers and MIC are positioned at the bottom the device. The VKworld supports two SIMs, or one SIM and a microSD card, thanks to a hybrid slot. This sits up top on the phone’s left edge. As for the buttons, you will find the power and volume keys on the right side of the device. Meanwhile, the fingerprint sensor is positioned right below the rear camera.
Although, I was amazed by the swift response of this device’s fingerprint sensor. It took less than 0.5 seconds (almost instantly) to unlock this device using the FP sensor. It hurts that the Vkworld Mix Plus fingerprint works more efficiently than Infinix Note 4 fingerprint sensor.
Arguably there’s just one thing detracting from the premium design here, and that’s the Vkworld logo and ‘Designed by vkworld – Made in China’ text slapped on the rear. But it’s not hideous, and it’ll probably be hidden by the palm of your hand anyway.
Vkworld Mix Plus Camera
The phone is embedded with an 8MP camera on the back and can be improved to 13 megapixels through software interpolation. It has autofocus, HDR, dual LED flash and Full HD video shooting capability.
However, the 5MP selfie camera can also be interpolated to 8 megapixels. But before we continue with results from pictures and videos test, there is something quite unusual with the Vkwolrd Mix Plus. And that is… Its sensor and selfie camera is placed upside down. As in… you have to tilt the phone before you can snap a perfect selfie.
But hey, I don’t mind giving up my camera position to have a bezel-less smartphone. Who cares though!!! But if you ain’t cool with it, then it’s something you might just start grieving about now. I tested both front and rear camera of the device, here are some of the photos taken below:

Vkworld Mix Plus Performance & Storage
If you were fascinated by the Vkworld’s design, you might want to look away while we talk about the hardware. It’s powered by a quad-core MediaTek MTK6737 chip clocked at just 1.3GHz. However, it has enough amount of storage at 32GB and a 3 gig of RAM respectively. You can also add up to 32GB of storage via microSD, provided you aren’t already using the second SIM slot. To be honest: this is a rather slow android phone, and sometimes you will need to wait a few seconds for apps such as the camera to launch. Perhaps, you can conveniently use multiple apps at the same time without reloading when others are minimised or not in use.
Vkworld Mix Plus Battery Life
This device has been a good servant for my 10 days. Although the battery isn’t one of the best, with just 2850mAh, the battery is below moderate. When tested alongside my monster Infinix Note 4 battery that can take you almost a whole day on intense use, the Vkworld Mix Plus only last about 12 hours when used intensely with battery consuming features like Bluetooth, hotspot, internet connection etc all turned on. But without all the battery killer listed above, this device should take you more than a day of modest usage.

Good design, average battery life, not-bad camera quality, economical, sleek body, smooth performance and storage. Here is the Geekbench score for this device:
I think this device is perfect if you are looking for a phone with some of the trendy new Android phone features. It is more of a design-centric design that is focused on sleek design but other things less. However, it should handle any task you throw at it. Plus you can own this with about $100 on Gearbest.
